Congratulations! Pregnancy and birth are often the most meaningful experiences of your life. The work of bringing forth life is both miraculous and challenging. It is so important to explore your choices and find the care provider that will work best for YOU. My role is to provide information so that you can make truly informed decisions about your care, and support so that you can learn to trust the wisdom of your body. With patience and support you can give birth in your own space, time and unique way.
I live and work in northwest Fort Collins, attending births throughout northern Colorado and southern Wyoming.
I became a midwife after the transforming experiences of birthing and mothering my two daughters. There is nothing more important that I can do than guide other women on
this journey and protect their ability to experience a safe, natural
birth. I have been attending home births for over 12 years. I now also train student midwives, and work with other midwives to make safe, competent midwifery care available to more families.
Insurance plans that include maternity coverage with out-of-network benefits usually cover part of the costs for home birth and midwifery care. Insurance plans provided through many of the major employers in northern Colorado do cover these costs including HP, Poudre School District and CSU student health plans. I also participate in the CHP+ prenatal program, which covers pregnant women & children for many families that do not qualify for Medicaid. Many of the families I work with do not have maternity insurance coverage, and set up monthly payment plans.
Please feel free to call me, or email your name and address and I will be happy to send you more information about my midwifery practice. A phone call is the best way to schedule a time to meet and answer your questions.
Blessings for a sacred & healthy birth!

Beth,
I have a nine month old son who was born in a hospital in Denver after many days of labor. As I begin to think of conceiving my second child, my mind has begun to focus on homebirth. I feel that with this child I will not carry the same fears as I did with my first, and I want to surrender to the power of birth and let it come as it will. I met a women who birthed with you about four years ago, and as she was speaking of you I felt a good energy. I look forward to speaking wit

Longmont
I am not pregnant yet, but plan to start trying in the next 6 months. I have been looking for a midwife that will come to Longmont for a homebirth. I am still trying to convince my husband that this is safe and that we don't have to be in a hospital. I had a child when I was 18 and since I gave him up for adoption, I had no say in the way the delivery went and now that I am 31 I want to have a less stiff and sterile environment for my child to be born into. Thank you.
